Here Comes the Bride: Tips for Glowing Skin on the Big Day

With Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding just around the corner, and wedding season already upon us, I thought it appropriate to share a few tips of the trade for glowing skin on the big day.

If you have any clients headed down the aisle, there are several treatments and at-home regimens that will help get their skin ready in the days leading up to the wedding, as well as help them maintain picture-perfect skin the day of.

In the Treatment Room

For brides-to-be you want to focus on relieving stress and uncovering their glowing skin. For this, the Tranquility Stress Relief Facial provides a soothing, relaxing experience that focuses heavily on massage.

Massage is incorporated in every step of the treatment beginning with the Citrus Gel and Creamy Milk Cleanser applied using a relaxing effleurage movement and steam over the face, neck and décolleté. The Derma Peel is then massaged into the skin to remove dead skin cells and buildup. You can then slip clients into deeper tranquility with a heated, wet compress and aromatherapy. Pure indulgence comes with the cocktail of Antioxidant Complex Serum, MVC Serum and heated Massage Oil massaged into the neck, face, ears and even the eye area.

The delicious Milk Mask and Chocolate Antioxidant Mask will take them to another place while it nourishes, replenishes depleted skin and delivers a potent boost of antioxidants. Not to forget about the décolleté and arms, a luscious blend of Massage Oil and Exotica Rhodiola Body is massaged into the skin to reveal all over radiance. Finally, Cucumber Spritz is misted onto the skin followed by chilled Ice Globes for a toning Ice Massage. Skin will be hydrated, buoyant and glowing.

If there is adequate time and you have a client with a specific skin issue like acne, hyperpigmentation or rosacea, look into the RA 90 Day Programs, which map out a plan of action for correcting these challenges.

Home Care for the Big Day

In the days leading up to the wedding, brides will want to focus on hydrating and refining the skin. Recommend the Grape Seed Hydrating Serum, to be applied at night, to give the skin moisture and antioxidant support. This can also be supplemented with the Blushed Wine Gel during the daytime. This formula contains mica, which will give skin an instant youthful, iridescent glow and provides moisture for dry skin.

Since the Blushed Wine Gel works as a light reflector, it is also ideal for the big day, and particularly if the wedding is outdoors. It will help maintain an even, iridescent tone even if the body warms. On that note, if the wedding is outdoors during the warmer seasons, avoiding heat rash, discoloration and burning can be a concern. The eZinc Protection Cream or Daytime Defense SPF 30 will guard against burning while the Cucumber Spritz, misted over a mineral powder foundation, will keep skin cool, refreshed and picture perfect.
