SKIN PREPARATION Cleanse skin with Glycolic Herbal Wash; rinse completely. PEEL PREP Wear surgical gloves. Saturate 2” gauze with Fruit Acid Botanical Lotion. With very firm pressure, go over skin evenly. This will create stimulation in the skin erythema; this is normal. Give client a fan and cover eyes with slightly dampened cotton pads. PEEL APPLICATION Pour small amount of Salicylic Solution into a glass beaker and saturate 2” gauze. Spread evenly on the skin, avoid eye area. Let absorb. Wait 2-3 minutes between layers. Continue application in opposite direction for an even distribution – always wait between layers and let solution absorb. If solution does not absorb, this is an indication the skin has had enough - do not apply more acid. Alternate direction of layers each time. Watch closely for light frosting. When this occurs the peel is completed. Stop at five (5) layers. Safe for most skin types, higher Fitzpatrick limit to 2-3 layers and always use Melanin Suppressant with the acid. Apply one even layer of Melanin Suppressant and add one additional dropper in Salicylic Solution.
