COMMON SKIN CONDITIONS LINKED TO PREGNANCY INCLUDE:

Melasma (AKA Pregnancy Mask) – increase in pigmentation, due to hormone fluctuations, that causes dark patches to appear in larger areas; typically seen on the forehead, cheeks, chin.
Stretch Marks – reddish/purple streaks caused by rapid stretching of the skin.
Skin Tags – small tissue flaps connected by a “stalk”; typically seen on neck, chest, back, under breasts, and groin area.

Pruritic Urticarial Papules and Plaques – pale, red bumps that cause itching or stinging; typically seen around abdomen, arms, legs, buttocks.
Acne, Psoriasis, Dermatitis – these conditions may worsen during pregnancy.

• Keep skin care regimens simple – less is better!
• No chemical peels
