20% L-Lactic Acid is a milk-derivative AHA with regenerating and hydrating effects for the skin. It supports the improvement of fine lines, inhibits aging and adds softness and smoothness to the skin. This particular strength and pH has many uses in the treatment room and responds well to most all skin types unless AHA sensitive. 20% L-Lactic Acid is also perfect to enhance an enzyme and increase its efficacy and has the ability to increase the water-holding capacity of the corneum layer, aid in cell turnover, and provide hydrating and regenerating support.

20% L-Lactic Acid is an ideal choice for a second cleanse or rinse - pour a generous amount on 2” gauze and spread onto face and neck with firm pressure. Rinse away with warm water. This is a good method for lifting away surface residue and stripping excess fats and lipids. Or, mix 20% L-Lactic Acid in Gentle Jojoba Beads and massage in with steam for deeper cleanse. You may also use Papaya Tangerine Enzyme mixed with 20% L-Lactic Acid (ratio 3-1, less acid); steam skin for 8-10 minutes or occlude skin with cellophane and apply a warm compress. Remove with warm water and gauze sponges and proceed to next step of treatment. OTHER ENZYME COMBINATIONS-3 parts enzyme (Pumpkin Parfait Enzyme, Cherry Jubilee Enzyme, or Skin Brightening Enzyme) to 1 part 20% L-Lactic Acid. Spread a thin layer onto face and neck and apply a gentle vapor of steam or wrap face in a wet, warmed compress for 8-10 minutes. Remove mask with warm water and gauze sponges and proceed with extractions and a finishing mask. OPTIONAL-20% L-Lactic Acid may be used after an enzyme when doing a facial treatment to add more smoothness and polish to the skin.
